After creating a new account for \'climateprediction\', I pasted my \'email address\' and \'account key\', as instructed on web pages (sign up/account creation).
(I had not created a password).
Several times I repasted \'email address\' and \'account key\' but result kept coming back \"Account not found, check email address and password).
I solved the problem by going to my account and creating a password.
Result: Success straight away.
There is either a problem with \'climateprediction\' or \'BOINC\' not accepting an \'account key\'.
I\'ll leave it to the \"Powers that be\" to sort out which it is.

I\'m afraid that the instructions have not been updated to take account of recent changes. Even the BOINC-Wiki struggles because these things aren\'t announced in advance and there can be an awful lot of places to change the advice. The climateprediction team are not themselves responsible for the BOINC software.

Set a password and use this instead of the account key. Sometimes the account key does not get copied to the password properly and will cause this problem.
