The minimum suggested for this project is an 800 MHz P3/Athlon and they likely are going to be too slow for the newer models. The Via processor, even at higher clockspeeds, has very weak floating point/number crunching performance and climateprediction.net needs strong floating point performance. ID: 18112 · Reply Quote

I am guessing when initial results aren\'t what were expected/hoped for the model is cancelled and replaced with another? Roughly four years had run before it was yanked.
