Have you been getting this error in your program? Unrecoverable error for result \"result name\" ( - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005)) Here\'s the answers. Drivers. That\'s all I have to say. Most likely this error is caused by your video drivers (which are most likely tied to an ONBOARD video chipset) being out of date because the CP program is graphically built in it\'s nature. But that\'s not all the details. For one, NEVER rely on what Windows Update or the manufacturer of your pc/motherboard says about current drivers. I just updated a video driver that windows said was current, but the CHIPSET manufacturer said was 2 years behind. 2 YEARS! So here\'s what you gotta do, and it requires a little getting dirty. 1. Find out your motherboard make and model. Sometimes you get off easy and it\'s printed on the board itself in big bold letters. Mine is. With others, you have to do some deeper digging. Consult a professional if needs be. This is crucial and also the hardest step in some instances. 2. Find out what chipsets they used for EVERYTHING that is onbard (i.e. video, audio, LAN, IDE, etc.). Many chipsets will be made by manufacturers like VIA, SIS, NVIDIA, APOLLO etc. They (the chipsets) will NOT be made by the motherboard manufacturer. 3. Get on the CHIPSET manufacturers website. If you have chipsets by ones like VIA of NVIDIA, your in luck. They\'re nice and keep a good package built so you only have to find one file that takes care of a whole array of chipsets, and not a whole array of files for one chipset. Much easier to work with. Make sure you get the LATEST update for your chipset. 4. Now, let\'s exercise one update at a time so we don\'t mess something up. Download, install, reboot. Download, install, reboot. Download... If you follow all these steps for your onboard (or addon) equipment, you will be guaranteed to have the LATEST drivers for your system, regardless of what Microsoft or whoever else says you need. And what\'s better, CP works! |
