Hello, I\'d like to know if I have a problem with the software. When I want to view the results, a have a blank globe, as can be seen <a>here</a>, it\'s the same using temp, pressure, etc.. Only the \"smooth\" vision change (clouds and snow). Is it normal ? Thanks for a response... Chris |

Well that's not normal. Can you give us any system specs and wich operating system you use? |

It's possible your model has gone unstable and this is the representation of a frozen earth, i.e. -273C. Otherwise, what video card do you have? The visualization uses OpenGL. Perhaps updating the drivers might help? |

First thing is impossible as is gives the same globe for pressure and precipation. The second could be right. Try that |

I've seen these "white" or "silver" globes when the model is suspended, or starts up and shared memory is being written to from the climate model (I have code not to read in the viz until the memory is written from the model). If you leave it up so it goes to the next timestep (which may take awhile since the viz can take up quite a bit of CPU depending on your computer and video card), it should "color in" as the next timesteps come in. |

The problem is solved. This was effectively the OpenGL library that wasn't updated. Thanks to all. |

The drivers supplied with Windows XP do not support OpenGL, while the last drivers from Ati do. http://mirror.ati.com/support/driver.html -------------------- Jordâ„¢ <img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/cpdn/stats.php?userID=2&trans=off"> |
