It seems that everytime a Windows 98SE machine I have BOINC runs the climateprediction software, it causes a \"Visual Fortran run-time error.\" Following are the details of the error:

forrtl: severe(30): open failure, unit 6, file CONOUT$
Stack trace terminated abnormally.

I\'ve seen this post elsewhere in the forum, but this adds a bit to the particulars. Also, in the ClimatePrediction forum on their site, I can\'t seem to find a hardware or operating system requirement, but did note a comment to the effect that \"support for Win 98 and ME has been withdrawn.\" Is this fixable, or should I just turn off the climateprediction participation on that particular machine.

The software appears to run normally on my XP machines.

Thanks,

Kent

One of the two stickies in this Windows Forum discusses that here.
