I read the message about the scheduler being fixed asap but thought this info might help you.

I couldn\'t get you all the technical data because it wasn\'t copyable.

Message 19374 - Posted: 16 Jan 2006, 22:23:25 UTC

Hi again,

I\'m really answering my own message but I have something else you may find interesting (I certainly do).

Yesterday my computer crashed for the first time ever. I\'m using XP HOME (with an intel 2.8ghz processor and 512m of RAM and 80gigs of HD)and after the crash it scanned itself.

To my amazement the orginal work unit popped back into the BOINC work list of items awaiting to be analyzed.

The details are:-

sulphur_cycle 4.22
sulphur_i7g7_100849463_0
Time to complettion is 1836:29:48
Report date is 30/12/06

Now a file of this size I think I would have noticed it downloading but I didn\'t. So I assume this work unit was already on my hard drive before it all turned to custard (but not appearing in the work page).

I\'ll let you know if it runs ok when it\'s climate prediction\'s turn to run.

best regards
Alan Payne

Here we go again
I am once again replying to my own post.

I hope your technical staff read these messages ??

The thing that I stated in my first post has happened again.

Once again this is the Microsoft XP Home error report.

These are the messages from my BOINC client

19/01/2006 8:13:44 p.m.|climateprediction.net|Starting result sulphur_i7g7_100849463_0 using sulphur_cycle version 422
19/01/2006 9:40:17 p.m.|climateprediction.net|Unrecoverable error for result sulphur_i7g7_100849463_0 ( - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005))

19/01/2006 9:40:17 p.m.|climateprediction.net|Computation for result sulphur_i7g7_100849463_0 finished

The BOINC system flagged with file as \"Computation Error\".

As you can see by my other posts that this is going to be a
permanent error everytime it tries to run this file.

Can you remove this file from my hard drive otherwise this is
going to go on and on !!!

I am running SETI and Rosetta with no problems at all.

regards
Alan Payne

The project reset option doesn\'t help?

It should trash all old project stuff on HD and remove some leftover parts in client_state.xml too
