Well done Kathryn - the \'job satisfaction\' on completing a cpdn model is a bit more intense than on other boinc projects, don\'t you think?

BTW, just in case you missed the news, all beta models whether complete or not should now be zapped and replaced with standard versions.

Oh man. Yeah. What a good feeling when they finish.

And yes, I killed that beta model when they released the new version into the wild.

Too bad that\'s the end of my CPDN career until I get a desktop (which won\'t happen any time soon). My brother was kind enough to let me BOINC on his computer while he was living with us doing his college co-op.

But a nice end nevertheless.

I thought everybody would be pleased to know that Nick Palmer MP has completed his BBC model. He\'s a UK Member of Parliament at Westminster.

And lots of other successful runs from both BBC and cpdn crunchers - over 14000 completed models now:

Completed HadCM3L Transient Runs
14,063
BOINC - 7,093
BBC - 6,970

I passed the 500,000 mark this week. Celebrating with an appropriately chilled beverage as summer sets in.

> Have passed 200,000 cobblestones in CPDN.
Also passed 200,000 recently in Docking and Ralph.
Bit of a triple milestone.

Trying to get to 500,000 in QMC and 400,000 in Einstein.

Was hoping to finish my two current CPDN models and have a rest as that would make 3 complete models, but accidently downloaded another two models. So I will have to keep going for a bit (lots of bits) longer.

Set cpdn to \'No new work\' in the Projects tab; this will prevent the download of unwanted workunits.

500K in CPDN. I posted the first post in here Jan 2006 and had 100K, so it took me 1.5 years to make another 400K.

Everyone keep up you good, hard, dedicated work. Congrats on all your milestones, past and future.

Sorry I seem to be \"hogging\" the milestones thread but I just have to record congratulations to dtkirk, who has now passed 1 million credits in CPDN and completed 6 models so far, adding to his almost half million credits and 9 complete models in BBC. Well done, Doug, great work for the project!

Best regards,

Speaking of milestones, I\'ve just opened an account here after ages of crunching for SETI. I\'m a newbie (again)!

Interesting you knew my name. I have no clue how my name showed as \"Owner\". Thank You for reminding me on the team, now that is taken care of, I\'ve got to figure out how to change my name from the generic Owner to Dune Finkleberry. Help please! :^D

Changing your name is as easy as ABC

A) Go to your Account on the server
B) Near the top, click on \"other account info\"
C) Change your name

The reason it is Owner, is that that is what you used for your name while setting up Windows on your computer.

Interesting you knew my name.

Just wanted to make the welcome a bit more personal. Just a click on the name on the left takes you to a page with details on that person\'s computer such as speed and memory, (which can be helpful in diagnosing problems),a profile if they have one and also at the bottom lists the other projects they participate in. Don\'t worry, none of this info is personally identifiable. If you click on your own name, you get a lot more info that others can\'t see.
