Hi I got an unrecoverable error for one of my WU.

The message was:

2006 02 14 07:40:27|climateprediction.net|Unrecoverable error for result sulphur_gmkm_000775750_0 (<file_xfer_error> <file_name>sulphur_gmkm_000775750_0_2.zip</file_name> <error_code>-161</error_code> <error_message></error_message></file_xfer_error><file_xfer_error> <file_name>sulphur_gmkm_000775750_0_3.zip</file_name> <error_code>-161</error_code> <error_message></error_message></file_xfer_error><file_xfer_error> <file_name>sulphur_gmkm_000775750_0_4.zip</file_name> <error_code>-161</error_code> <error_message></error_message></file_xfer_error><file_xfer_error> <file_name>sulphur_gmkm_000775750_0_5.zip</file_name> <error_code>-161</error_code> <error_message></error_message></file_xfer_error>)

The last lines of the yabsd.out looks like the following:

Mismatch in no of prognostic fields.
No of prog fields in Atmos dump 388
No of prog fields expected 389

Run RECONFIGURATION to get correct no of prognostic fields in atmos dump
or
Check/Reset experiment in User Interface

*********************************************************************************
Model aborted with error code - 102 Routine and message:-
INITDUMP: Wrong no of atmos prognostic fields

I have a backup of the WU (I made it on the 6th), which I have tried to restore, but after restarting Boinc and updating the project it did not reappear on WU list.

Any idea, what should I do?
Thanks,

Balazs

Forget it and get another model.
It is/was one of a faulty batch, which all failed after the end of phase 1.

However, if you look at the bottom of the model\'s page, you can see two graphs. (Click on the p1s.)
So, the phase 1 info was uploaded successfully. It contains extra data, as compared with a slab model, which the researchers need for the start of the coupled ocean model, soon to start.

Hello,

I also got this error repeatedly in the last WUs.

Is this a problem of the WUs?

I might be the wus, or it might be your computer.
A new type of model will be along in a few days.

Probably not. In a failed work unit directory, say this one sulphur_hdb4_100810400_0, there may be a file called yabsd.out. Unzip it if needed, and open it in WordPad. If you could paste the last 20 lines or so of that file, it *might* give us a clue as to why it is failing.
