As I understand the process, every 10802 timesteps a trickle file should be sent to the server. I wonder if this happening for me. I am now at abotu 13,000 and as far as I can tell nothing has been transmitted. I assume that a record of the transmission will be under Transfer which is empty. Are there settings that control trickle file transmission that might be set incorrectly?

You have a trickle, see here. Credit is not instantaneous. They run a script a couple times a day to give credit for trickles.

Thanks. Should information about transmission of the trickle appear in the BOINC manager? If not, that might be a good idea so that users know that everything is OK.

You can tell when a trickle has been sent from the messages tab. They look like this:
07/03/2006 18:17:48|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi
07/03/2006 18:17:48|climateprediction.net|Reason: To send trickle-up message
