What is the body of knowledge concerning the connection between global average temperature and global average wind speed?

The hypothesis is straighforward: as average temparature s increase, so should average wind speeds. Fluid dynamics and behaviours of gases under temparature changes confirm this.

In climate science, what is the answer? Do higher average temparatures mean higher average global wind speeds?
