I\'m having difficulty getting into the server to look at your results. It may be overloaded with the flood of people from the BBC project, so I \'ll look again in a few hours. There\'s a few things that I have seen though. The first one is the title you used for this thread. Please don\'t use your email address anywhere. This is how spammers get hold of it. The second is that both of your computers are underpowered for this project, one seriously so. If I had two make a guess, I\'d say that you\'re using a version 4.* of BOINC, which isn\'t really up to it with the new models; and / or you\'re using Win98, which is no longer supported on this project. And please use a firewall to keep out the viruses. One of the things that they can be used for, is to take over your computer, and use it to help launch a \'denial of service\', (DOS), attack on big companys. |

I\'ve finally managed to get a look at your models. There\'s no information about the cause of failure, but you\'re using the special BBC version of BOINC to run the them. It may help if you just stop, and download version 5.2.13, which is the latest public release for BOINC. But as I said before, your computers are under powered, and this in itslf may be part of the problem. \'Not responding to you\' may have just been because your computer kept crashing the models, and quickly used up it\'s quota for the day. |

PC\'s CPU speed is 500MHz, which means it\'ll take quite a long time to process the model. Do you use a firewall / antivirus / antispyware program? I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |
