Hello, after installing boinc on two systems I found a second time the same problem. I get the above errormessage and before I get the errormessage: Scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi failed with a return value of 500 No schedulers responded It seems as if the new versions have a problem with connecting over proxies!? I have older clients which are running fine over the same proxies and without having any problems! I had the same problems with my laptop and there was the solution to take it home and let him reconnect without a proxy there - and it worked!? But now I have a desktop and this is too heavy to carry it with me at home. So would be cool to have a workaround - specially as I couldn\'t find a similiar thread here! Thanks for help, Manfred |

What version of BOINC are you using? For some time now BOINC supports connecting over a proxy server. Under Options specify the appropriate proxy information, and you should be fine. |

Hello, I have the same problem, and this since the versions 5.. I\'m currently running the 5.3.31 - fresh upgraded from the 5.2.13 version - and despite this new version can\'t connect through the company proxy / firewall. Http connexion parameters are OK. It worked fine with older version of BOINC (was that the 3.something ?) Thanks, Cedric |

Sorry Cedric, there\'s not much we can do to help. Speaking to the company\'s IT people is about the only answer. On the BOINC/dev site, Spok is having similar difficulties. There are also other threads there of a similar nature. |
