What exactly is going on? I finally connected to localhost (after several attempts and two password changes). No model was received. I tried rebooting, and got the message \'01/04/2006 14:53:57||Remote control not allowed; using loopback address\'. So now I\'m just sitting here. My computer is less than 2 weeks old, a Dell. I am running XP Pro, have nearly 70Gb free disc space, 1024 Mb memory. I am not involved in any other BOINC projects. I only downloaded the software today (Saturday 1st). What do I do now? |

\'Remote control not allowed; using loopback address\' This is just the normal message, it just means that because the client is being controlled from your own machine, a manager on a different machine can\'t override your control. I don\'t see any signs of a result being registered to your CPDN machine however.. I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

Your info page shows an active Run on your machine. Check the Tasks (or Work) tab. Do you see a Work Unit listed? Status \'Running\'? In the Messages tab, lots of downloads and \'Starting result hadcm3lb...\'? "We have met the enemy and he is us." -- Pogo Greetings from coastal Washington state, the scenic US Pacific Northwest. |
