You can either try to reset the project to force a new download, or uninstall BOINC and reinstall it to the same folder. Also make sure you have BOINC 4.05.

Hello,

I also get this message on one of my machines. I joined yesterday and everything went fine for install, including download without any error. CPDN works fine on other machines (same OS).
But this one computes the wu but gives me the "invalid authenticator" message.

Using boinc 4.05 on Win WP SP2.

Before detaching from CPDN, i'd like to be sure it is the correct solution.
Concerning reinstalling boinc, as seti is also running, i'd prefer another solution ;)

Thanks

Back.

I noticed that the Account ID seems to be case sensitive.

I entered my ID in CAPS and got the error message. On other machines, I just copied the ID from CPDN inscription mail and it was not in CAPS.

So, I edited the file account_climateprediction.net.xml (in the Boinc directory).
And then replaced the CAPS letters of the id in the section.
Exit Boinc, restart Boinc and update the CPDN project.

The error message disappeared.

It might be the solution : someone to confirm ?
