I can\'t seem to find anything else on the forums indicating that other people have this problem, but when I have BIONC running, my laptop will never activate the screen saver or shut down the monitor after 15 minutes as specified in my power management options.

It works fine on my home computer but my laptop at work has problems. I\'ve tried reinstalling it, changing the screen saver and power management options and so on but nothing has worked.

I don\'t want to leave an LCD screen on all night displaying the same image so if there is no solution to this problem I will not be able to run this.

Occasionally, after the computer comes out of a suspend state and I log in for the first time and leave the computer unattended the screen saver will appear, but after I log in again, it will stay logged in and the screen saver will never be activated.

Any solutions?

What is set as the screensaver on your laptop and is it password protected?
The BOINC screensaver doesn\'t work properly if it\'s password protected.

I have tried using different screensavers on my laptop. I used some of the default Windows ones, I used \"blank\" and I also used some custom ones including the BIONC screen saver. None of them work.

My laptop is password protected while my home computer is not. It would make sense that it doesn\'t work if the screen saver is password protected. The first time I log into Windows and start BIONC, the screensaver will go on, but after I log in again, the screensaver will never go on again.

This is fine if the problem was restricted to the BIONC screensaver and all the other screensavers worked but none of them do. It affects all of them.

I have to have my computer password protected at work, so unless there is a fix for this, I won\'t be able to run it.

You can just go to blank screen. BOINC should be able to run without using the screensaver.

Boinc runs fine there are no problems there. The problem is that the screen will always be on. It will never go to the screensaver or go to blank while Boinc is running, regardless of the screensaver I\'m using.
