I\'ve got a PC that\'s running Windows XP as a VMWare client, and I concluded that I needed to get cpdn to suspend when I was doing anything else. I set up the preferences accordingly, and quite often the system works ok. At the moment, however, when I start up boinc it goes straight into Activities Suspended mode, and will only run if I fire up boincmgr and tell the model to run all the time. This has happened once before a week or so ago when the website was down, but that doesn\'t seem to be the case on this occasion. I\'m running boinc 5.2.13 on Ubuntu Linux 5.10. The PC is a dual core AMD Athlon 64. I checked when the model reported Activities Suspended, and the CPU load on each core was around 2%. Derrick Ashby |
