My computer has completed a workunit but doesn\'t manage to upload it nor does it try to get a new one. I use Windows-XP with BOINC 5.2.13. If I click on \"update\" button: 27/05/2006 11:26:39||request_reschedule_cpus: project op 27/05/2006 11:26:44|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi 27/05/2006 11:26:44|climateprediction.net|Reason: Requested by user 27/05/2006 11:26:44|climateprediction.net|Note: not requesting new work or reporting results 27/05/2006 11:26:49|climateprediction.net|Scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi succeeded If I click on \"retry now\" in the \"transfers\" tab: 27/05/2006 11:28:22|climateprediction.net|Started upload of sulphur_e2fn_000656339_0_5.zip 27/05/2006 11:28:26||Attempting to send data to [phkup21.unibe.ch] failed [failed sending data to the peer] 27/05/2006 11:28:27|climateprediction.net|Temporarily failed upload of sulphur_e2fn_000656339_0_5.zip: system write 27/05/2006 11:28:27|climateprediction.net|Backing off 3 hours, 41 minutes, and 44 seconds on upload of file sulphur_e2fn_000656339_0_5.zip |

Due to the length of the models CPDN will usually take a break inbetween them on multi-project systems. I don\'t know why you are having upload problems, hopefully someone else will have a better idea. On suggestion though if your internet connection will be out suspend network activity in BOINC. unibe = Unversity of Bern ch = Switzerland We had a lot of problems with them a year ago. First they had a server failure, then parts of Bern were flooded. It was a couple of months before they were back. |

In that case I\'d guess the answer to tcp-ip\'s question should be \'wait for a few days for Berne to sort out their server\' :-) I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

In that case I\'d guess the answer to tcp-ip\'s question should be \'wait for a few days for Berne to sort out their server\' :-) I have been waiting two weeks. Eventually, BOINC has given up the upload: 08/06/2006 17:26:36|climateprediction.net|Started upload of sulphur_e2fn_000656339_0_5.zip 08/06/2006 17:26:41||Attempting to send data to [phkup21.unibe.ch] failed [failed sending data to the peer] 08/06/2006 17:26:41|climateprediction.net|Temporarily failed upload of sulphur_e2fn_000656339_0_5.zip: system write 08/06/2006 17:26:41|climateprediction.net|Giving up on upload of sulphur_e2fn_000656339_0_5.zip: too much elapsed time What can I do now? Is there a way to save something from the folder which is still present on my hard disk? |

Sorry, no. BOINC deletes the files. However, the page for that model shows everything is on the server. |
