hadcm3lb is seizing my machine and not letting go. This has never happened before and is most probably due to a programming error. I can\'t release my unused resources if they are not properly managed. I\'m sorry, but if is doesn\'t end, I must withdraw my meager resources. Windows XP with latest SPs as of June 21, 2006 Boinc 5.2.13 |

Hi Andrew, The two main reasons for PCs being affected by the model are: * Memory. The memory requirement is 512MB, your Intel D has 2GB so that\'s plenty, shouldn\'t be a problem. * Overheating. A lot of machines are being hit by overheating problems in the last few weeks, since the weather has heated up a lot. There are various programmes which can tell you your CPU temperature, these include SpeedFan, MotherboardMonitor, ASUSProbe, and Everest. I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. Andrew If you\'re talking about your Genuine Intel x86 Family 6 Model 7 Stepping 3 498MHz, forget it. It\'s WAY under powered. |
