I am running BOINC 5.2.6 on a Windows XP with Service Pack 2. I want to set the computer so that it enters hibernation if unused for an hour, however having the BOINC agent running appears to prevent this. Is there any way of overcoming this problem please? It would be ironic if modelling the greenhouse effect lead to it worsening through wasted power! |

Not a high-tech solution, but you could always just shut it down when you\'ve finished using it ! :-) I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

In \"Your account\", preferences, there is an option to run only between certain hours. That might do it for you. "We have met the enemy and he is us." -- Pogo Greetings from coastal Washington state, the scenic US Pacific Northwest. |

You cannot have it both ways - either the applications is running, OR the computer is hibernating. You have to decide which one you want. |

Not trying to have it both ways- would like to switch from one to the other! I manually switch when I can, but I think like a lot of people I wind up working intermittently with the computer and get side-tracked You cannot have it both ways - either the applications is running, OR the computer is hibernating.
