Is this normal? I\'m donating 100% of an old Dell PowerEdge 6300 server. (4) Intel Pentium 3 Xeon 550 MHz Processors, 2 GB of RAM, Windows 2003 Server, Enterprise Edition w/ SP1. All 4 processors are maxed out at 100%. All non-essential services and processes have been stopped. Each BOINC process has 24 or 25% of the total onboard processor time. Did I just get a large work load? Am I doing something wrong and wasting electricity? At this rate it\'ll be a little over 2.3 years to reach 100% Regards, Brad |

A model will take about 3 months on a 3.2GHz computer running 24/7 with no other programs. The recommended minimum speed of 1.6GHz is so that the model will complete in a realistic time. 550MHz is a third of this, so several years IS probable. And make sure that you make regular backups, because unrecoverable crashes often occur, for many reasons. |

Thanks! I think I\'m going to terminate while I\'m still ahead and go get some more horsepower to help this along. Thanks for that minimum requirement as well. Best regards, Brad |
