Hello

I have 3 different PC\'s and wonder if I should run them as 3 separate PC\'s or if I should combine them so that it is 3 PC\'s working on the same WU.

Are the WU\'s made in such a way that it is possible to make 3 machines work on 1 WU, or does it have to be separate WU\'s on each machine?

I will ask if I can use a computer that has several processors (16 I think, on a blade server) but I dont know if I should go for 1 WU/processor or 1 WU crunched by the entire machine.

Another question is if a 64-bit processor works faster than a 32-bit processor. I dont know if it is different tasks and needs on the different boinc-projects, or if it is irrelevant. (F eks I hear a lot more disc activity when seti runs than rosetta and cpdn)

Thank you

Currently no projects that I see span CPUs. They each work in a single processor. CPDN does not have that ability, currently.

I think there may be a project or two that has 64 bit applications, again CPDN does not. It has tried before, but has not had much luck in creating a stable one. The issue seen in most of the projects is that the FPU, which is heavily utilized has not significantly changed between the 32 bit and 64 bit processors. So, the higher end math functions do not get much of a gain, except for the faster memory in-out.

You are writing information every x seconds (under your General Preferences). You can change this, but this also means you may back up fruther when you stop/start. again, since this writes how far it\'s gone, etc.
