Early in August I copied a backup BOINC folder from a machine that was starting to show signs of failure to another machine. Fired up boinc in the copied BOINC dir on the new machine. Now, 2 months later, I notice that while the model keeps running and trickling, the decade files just accumulate and don\'t upload. Indeed , the client_state.xml shows them as nbytes 0, although there are now three of them created since starting the model on the new machine, and they are about 5meg each. It seems obvious to me that I missed something when moving the WU to the new machine Result 5285468 Workunit 5237784 Name hadcm3lbm_9xo0_05232803_0 Please advise about options-- this seems to be an interesting WU quite low temps -- but it could be that it is just computational error on my earlier problem machine. I could : Abort the WU Go back to an earlier backup -- about 10 years into the run, and put it on a perfect clone of the failed machine. see what happens. Figure out whay BOINC isn\'t noticing the decade files , and do some magic. Any advice? Thanx, Eirik |

Hm, that was weird. Maybe something went wrong when copying the wu. I would burn it to a cd, delete the whole of Boinc and start from scratch. They\'ve got plenty of work units with millions of combinations, the ones they are sending out now seem even colder, look at one of mines here: 5712046 |
