I\'m currently running two of the coupled models (about 40% complete) on a Hyperthreading Pentium P4. I want to transfer these WUs to a new PC which incorporates an Intel Dual core CPU.

I understand that uninstalling BOINC, transferring the BOINC folder to the new PC and then re-installing BOINC is the correct transfer procedure. Please confirm.

A couple of questions. 1. Will the Dual core PC pick up and run both the existing WUs without any problem? 2. What will happen on first contact with the server when it realises that it is looking at a different PC? Will it continue to accept the trickles from the current WUs or will it attempt to send new WUs, or what? Please advise if problems are likely to arise.

I\'m not bothered about credits but I desperately do not want to lose the current WUs.

Any advice would be very welcome

Thank you.
