Hi,
I started to monitor closely the log of my model as it\'s close to the end (I don\'t want it to crash just at the end :o))and I noticed this kind of error twice (2056 and 2063).
Does anybody know what this message mean ?

Just guesses, and likely no more than you\'ve already considered.

None of mine run in Linux these days so I can\'t make a direct comparison. However, WinXP reports dataout file types, as one expects, with whatever follows the \"dot\" in the filename. Hence: .year file, .nc file, .piq3c10 file, etc.

One wonders whether something odd happened during a processing interrupt, whether the HD took a hit, or one of many other possibilities.

That said, it seems that the Model continues normally. If the client really couldn\'t get those files, I think an immediate crash would have been inevitable.

Perhaps it\'s a routine diagnostic, with the recovery not logged.

You undoubtedly have a backup to give it another try should the worst happen. It would be interesting to see whether it happens the same way second time through.

Reading more carefully the logs, I noticed that these messages appeared just after restarting the computer at the date 01/12/2056 and 01/12/2063.
Perhaps it is related with the yearly trickle files, but I can\'t tell exactly what\'s happened: perhaps the files were not properly closed when shutting down the computer.

And yes, I have a backup :o)
(I have read so much messages of BBC crashed models that I make a backup twice a week, now)

Yeah, the files had already been used the first time and couldn\'t be found the second time after restarting.
This happened to me too but the model just happily chugged along :)
