I do not see it uploading in the messages. What do I do with the 1.71 GB file - can I archive to a seperate disk? Or will it try to upload. thanks |

What do you see in Messages? (Please post here.) If there is access to the Internet, it should upload. Have you changed anything, especially anything dealing with access to the Internet? (Virus protection, et al?) Please post pertinent \'Messages\' here and, perhaps, we can help. Yes, be careful. The last lot of files should upload by themselves, but until they do, you HAVEN\'T finished. |

What do you see in Messages? (Please post here.) For the longest time it was trying to \"fetch work\", and obviously it was not receiving any. After clicking on update, I let it be and now it has finally sent a zip file it seems. Yes, be careful. The last lot of files should upload by themselves, but until they do, you HAVEN\'T finished. Thanks for your response. I am proud of my G5 Imac. Now, I hope if there is any work for Macs in the future that I can participate again. Thanks everyone. on edit: I was worried because of the G5 sleep/power problem (it just won\'t wake up or shuts down when idle for long periods) I just pushed it through without taking it in to be fixed. As long as boinc is running, most of the time it would wake up. Since the \"work\" screen still says \"communication deferred\", I will see whether there is more to upload or it is just trying to request work... |

1) Keep an eye on this thread for a while so that we can talk to you if need be. 2) All future Mac work will be for the Intel Macs, as per the thread here: \"mac beta test\". The tests are running now, if you have one of these and want to join in. Recommended: I don\'t know what your BOINC version is like, but if it has a gui, go to the Projects tab, click on the project name, then click on the No new work button. This will stop the manager from looking fror more work. Then leave it for a couple of hours, and see if it automatically contacts the server again to send the final message to the server. If it doesn\'t, do another update. At the moment, there should still be a model listed in the Works tab, and the Status should be Ready to report. Forcing an upload of this message too early can mean it gets to the data server before the data gets transferred from the upload server to the data server, so your model will never officially finish. |

1) Keep an eye on this thread for a while so that we can talk to you if need be. Ok. Thanks I clicked on the \"no new work\". The completed work is still there. I am subscribed to the thread, and I will keep you posted what transpires overnight. (I still have Seti running, so I hope it will not have the sleep problem when I get back in the morning) A hard restart is certainly not something I want to do at this juncture... |

1) Keep an eye on this thread for a while so that we can talk to you if need be. It seems nothing much transpired as of this morning this is the last of the messages Tue Jan 16 21:32:54 2007|climateprediction.net|Computation for result sulphur_hwqg_100835576_0 finished Tue Jan 16 21:32:54 2007|SETI@home|Resuming result 15ap00ab.3731.19105.392322.3.231_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 513 Tue Jan 16 23:56:33 2007||request_reschedule_cpus: project op Wed Jan 17 10:06:02 2007||request_reschedule_cpus: project op Wed Jan 17 10:06:07 2007|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi Wed Jan 17 10:06:07 2007|climateprediction.net|Reason: Requested by user Wed Jan 17 10:06:07 2007|climateprediction.net|Reporting 1 results Wed Jan 17 10:06:12 2007|climateprediction.net|Scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi succeeded Wed Jan 17 10:29:05 2007||request_reschedule_cpus: process exited I take it, since my G5 is not Intel, I have now archived the file, but should I \"detach\" from the project, as there will be no more work for this platform? I presume, I can then delete the www.climateprediction.net folder, in the projects folder. Thank you for your help. :) Ps On a side note, for some reason the \"disk\" now shows only 1 GB. What happened to the rest of the 0.71 GB? I am just curious... |

Yes, that\'s all that happens. Bit of an anticlimax, really. It\'s now complete, as you can see here. Congratulations. :) You can click on the various sections in the graph area (P1, etc), to see the relevent graphs. The 0.71 GB was the final data, which was uploaded to the server. The 1Gig is some more data, which is left on the computer for those people who like to examine the data. In the new models, data is uploaded every model year, the disk space doesn\'t keep growing, and no data is kept at the end. You can if you wish detach, and uninstall/delete. |

Yes, that\'s all that happens. Bit of an anticlimax, really. Ah, thanks. Wow, and there were so many errors - and no \"heartbeat\" moments :) Interesting on the data size. Well, if I get a newer computer with Intel, I will check in again. Thanks again for your help. Now I can really celebrate. |
