My computer is running two climatprediction works in the same time.
they use too much of its performance. Is there a way to make running only one work?

THanks

In the Projects tab, click on the project name, then click the No new tasks button.
This will stop any more models from getting downloaded.
Then, in the Tasks tab, click on the model that\'s been run the least, then click on abort to return it to the data pool.

How many cores does your computer have?
1 WU per (virtual) core is the usual amount, so with a CoreDuo, or even a hyper threaded core it\'s the normal behaviour, otherwise half of your computer will sit idling around.

No need to abort them.

If you are experiencing slowdowns on your computer you may want to reduce the \"number of processors\" setting in the web based preferences.

Actually i have 3 Wu\'s for some odd reason on my C2D. One hasn\'t even started yet and when the 2 run together they really slow down on the sec/ts. I wish i could convince CPDN to use just one core and leave the other core for other boinc tasks without resorting to modified clients. for now i just live with it but it would be nice if i could just leave CPDN run full time on one core.
P.S I know i haven\'t trickled for a while but the Wu\'s are suspended for AA5 and ill return to a 50% work share after that. So thats not an issue.

If the PC is busy, sometimes Boinc gets confused and downloads new work units. To prevent this, click the \'no more work\' button against the project. This means that before it can get another, you need to click the button again.
