Hiho folks, I\'m running BOINC on my Vista box. All projects seems to run fine except climateprediction. After shutting down the box the WU\'s are corrupt and are uploaded to the servers with a client error. Is there maybe a known issue with the WU\'s under Vista? It looks to me that the climateprediction WU\'s need more time to perform a clean shutdown and Vista is killing the BOINC app faster as the WU expected so not all WU statistics and work progress can be written to disk. I\'ll try to investigate an appropriate WaitToKill setting in Vista and will post that if it works. Cheers and Ni! KWSN - Housekeeper of Camelot |

The recommendation has always been to menu/Exit from BOINC before shutting down Windows. Backups: Here |

You should close any programs that do file updates before shutting down Windows, otherwise there is a chance that these files get corrupted if the application does not have enough time to close all files. |
