I am running 4 WU (see text below beginning at 10.02.2007), the 1. task finished O.K. and a waiting WU started - but then: the other 3 aktive tasks \"exited with zero status . . .\" and restarted - I think without loosing (?) CPU-time. No separate trickles were generated. What happened ??? 09.02.2007 19:03:37||Starting BOINC client version 5.8.8 for windows_intelx86 09.02.2007 19:03:37||log flags: task, file_xfer, sched_ops 09.02.2007 19:03:37||Libraries: libcurl/7.16.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8a zlib/1.2.3 09.02.2007 19:03:37||Data directory: F:\\Programme\\BOINC 09.02.2007 19:03:37||Processor: 4 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU @ 2.66GHz [x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 7] [fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 mmx] 09.02.2007 19:03:37||Memory: 2.00 GB physical, 5.84 GB virtual 09.02.2007 19:03:37||Disk: 48.83 GB total, 46.29 GB free 09.02.2007 19:03:38|climateprediction.net|URL: http://climateprediction.net/; Computer ID: 505338; location: home; project prefs: home 09.02.2007 19:03:38||General prefs: from climateprediction.net (last modified 2006-12-07 22:22:19) 09.02.2007 19:03:38||Host location: home 09.02.2007 19:03:38||General prefs: using separate prefs for home 09.02.2007 19:03:38||Suspending network activity - user request 09.02.2007 19:03:51|climateprediction.net|Restarting task hadcm3ohc_25v1_05649268_1 using hadcm3 version 515 09.02.2007 19:03:53|climateprediction.net|Restarting task hadcm3ohe_1jh2_05720232_0 using hadcm3 version 515 09.02.2007 19:03:54|climateprediction.net|Restarting task hadcm3pbb_bl2k_05814599_0 using hadcm3 version 515 09.02.2007 19:03:56|climateprediction.net|Restarting task hadcm3pbb_bb4c_05801703_0 using hadcm3 version 515 10.02.2007 14:07:47|climateprediction.net|Computation for task hadcm3ohc_25v1_05649268_1 finished 10.02.2007 14:08:23|climateprediction.net|Restarting task hadcm3pbb_b0uj_05788390_0 using hadcm3 version 515 10.02.2007 14:08:23|climateprediction.net|Task hadcm3ohe_1jh2_05720232_0 exited with zero status but no \'finished\' file 10.02.2007 14:08:23|climateprediction.net|If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project. 10.02.2007 14:08:23|climateprediction.net|Task hadcm3pbb_bb4c_05801703_0 exited with zero status but no \'finished\' file 10.02.2007 14:08:23|climateprediction.net|If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project. 10.02.2007 14:08:23|climateprediction.net|Restarting task hadcm3ohe_1jh2_05720232_0 using hadcm3 version 515 10.02.2007 14:08:23|climateprediction.net|Restarting task hadcm3pbb_bb4c_05801703_0 using hadcm3 version 515 10.02.2007 14:08:56|climateprediction.net|Task hadcm3pbb_bl2k_05814599_0 exited with zero status but no \'finished\' file 10.02.2007 14:08:56|climateprediction.net|If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project. 10.02.2007 14:08:56|climateprediction.net|Restarting task hadcm3pbb_bl2k_05814599_0 using hadcm3 version 515 |

The zero status message is usually benign. It\'s often associated with Windoze auto time updates. Unless they becone continuous, it probably won;t hurt anything. A bit of time is lost each time it happens -- back to the previous Checkpoint. OT: There\'s a fair amount of interest in the Core 2 Quads on the other CPDN forum. Your comments re. your experience would be welcome. http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=5885 "We have met the enemy and he is us." -- Pogo Greetings from coastal Washington state, the scenic US Pacific Northwest. |
