Even though the Oxford team is submitting the results into a science journal and bbc has posted results, continued modeling work is still relevant right?

Right.
The BBC project was partly in support of their own tv series on climate change, and they presented the results from that point of view.

Modelling will continue for a few years yet, with 2 types currently running, and several more in the planning stage.
And a new version of the current TCMs is currently being tested.

Hi Les,

I have a model about to (hopefully!!!) finish* -- should I wait for the new version before getting new work?

(Apologies if this has been asked on the php board -- I just don\'t have time to read/search it anymore. If it has been asked here, then I\'m an idiot. :) )

Ken

*Backing up often as per your and mo\'s advice. :)

No idiots here. Creating an account is too difficult for them.

A few seconds ago I posted an answer to a different question here, part of which answers your question.

Some extra info on what I said there:
I don\'t recommend holding your breath waiting.
The latest version seems to (finally), be stable, but there is now a discussion about whether the results are realistic. The runs are on models already run on the BBC project, so that they can be compared. Some seem to be OK, some not.

I\'ve no idea when it\'ll be released. (A Mac version is also being tested.)
