I\'m running cpdn since a couple of days but processing always stops with an error-message; for example: Visual Fortran run-time error forrtl: serve (17): syntax error in NAMELIST input, unit 57, file ...\\BOINC\\projects\\climateprediction.net\\1s7s_000104075\\jobs\\spec3a_sw_3_asol2b_hadcm3 Version number of BOINC: 4.05 Operating system: Windows 2000 (HP-Notebook) and Windows XP Prof (Dell-PC) Some solutions? <img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/cpdn/stats.php?userID=183&trans=off"> |

A couple of possibilities. 1) There was a bug in the CPDN BOINC code that was causing this issue for models downloaded after the public launch date of 26 August 2004 that was fixed on 3 September 2004 as per http://www.climateprediction.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=2296&start=45 this link. The summary resolution is to scrap this model due to the bad code and start another (E.g. Reset, Detach). 2) There was an isolated bug for HP PC’s with HP specific software (E.g. ImageZone) causing issues as per http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=399 this link. The summary resolution is to delete HP's software in Add or Remove Programs or remove them from memory in task manager. |
