Is this a server side problem?

Yes I got the same problem this morning ( see below). Two days ago I also got an error where a program called \'jushed.exe\' (I think) stopped working. This affected my uploads and so I just rebooted the machine. There were a couple of days when the models kept valculating but no credits were updated then today the server seems to have made up for lost time...

So in summary:

1) Jushed.exe stopped working, what is that?
2) The server now seems to have no disk space...oops.

The credits stopped because the programs were stopped for a time while the server software was upgradded.

The \'no space\' is because the server is full. Again.
There are software alarms on lots of processes, which notify Milo, the server person, when something goes wrong. So there\'s no long term problem. If he can\'t fix it remotely, then he\'ll do it when he gets to work.

Googling \'jushed.exe\' gives a lot of results, some of which indicate that it\'s a Sun Java program.

I asked a few weeks ago for this phrase \'no space left on device\' to be changed to something like \'no space left on server\' so that people don\'t need to worry that it\'s their own disk. They\'ve OKed the change in Berkeley, so I hope they remember for a future upgrade.

It\'s the Java update program (it sits in the system tray and queries Sun at intervals to ask if there is a java update yet). Not related to Boinc or the climate project.

A lot of members run their models with network activity suspended all the time, except for the few moments when they specifically allow the model to trickle. This way, if your model crashes, you restore your backup and the server never hears the bad news.

A new 3TB server was received the end of this last week at Oxford. It\'s been stated it will be running by the end of week.

If you are running CPDN by itself, suspend network traffic for now. If not, you have 2 weeks to get the unit in before BOINC goes and deletes it. If deleted, nothing can easily be done about it.

Read the mo.v\'s post in previous message, as it has a lot of good information.

Receiving the same error. One would have thought someone would have discovered this by now and either deleted unnecessary data or grew the filesystem. Guess they do not have SNMP monitoring any of their resources.

They\'ve been aware of the growing problem for some while now. The problem was getting funding (which they now have), and a new server has arrived, should be operational near the end of the coming week.

The admins receive emails about the space on the servers, but getting emails is not much use if there\'s nowhere to move the data.

I am very familiar with the difficulties of not being able to obtain funding for essential equipment before the need becomes desperate. Also of then being the target of complaints from all and sundry for \"not having foreseen the problem\". Commiserations to the Oxford team - and to the mods who are having to deal with this at the coal face!
