Hello, i wanted to ask is it possible to compute a workunit (which is HUGE), with more than one computer. I have 4 computers, and want to help Climateprediction, but it will take many time (estimated 2329 hours, on coupled model Experiment), so is there anything to easy join forces of 4 computers? Thanks |

Hi, Nope, sorry. If you want you can run multiple models on the PCs - it\'d still take 2000 hours +, but you\'d get x of them done at the same time :-) I'm a volunteer and my views are my own. News and Announcements and FAQ |

Hi Luka When you run these huge workunits, it\'s much more important than on other boinc projects to try to avoid model crashes. See the READMEs in my sig - in the one about problems and crashes, items #1 by Les and #5 by Mike. And in the README about running the model, the top tips. Using these ideas at least makes it much more probable that you\'ll complete the models! Welcome to the Big Crunchers\' club. Cpdn news |
