What happens to unstable models? The reason I\'m asking is my current model looks like it\'s in trouble. The mean surface temperature rose slowly from 1920 to 1933 and is now dropping rapidly. result ID: 6450088 workunit ID: 521947 Thanks. Jim |

Hi Jim I\'ve looked at your graph and I see what you mean. It may correct itself or it may not. Whether it does or doesn\'t, we need to run unusual models and outliers until they either crash or complete ie we mustn\'t try to influence the results of the whole ensemble or dataset in any way. So the best thing will be for you to take regular backups as if it was a healthy model (which it may become) and if it does crash, post back here with the crash messages which would probably show whether the error lay in the model itself or some event within your computer.
