Hi, I have boinc 5.8.16, and climateprediction project. This has been running with no problem except that the screensaver always starts with a black/white planet, and NOT moving... If I open boinc and click on show graphics, it will start in the same mode (black not moving). I can change the view (usually Clouds, Fuzzy, Start Rotation) and the I close the graphics windows, close boinc, and wait for the screensaver. Again, it will start black and not moving. So, it seems boinc is not storing my preferences... Regards, Leo |

What kind of video card do you have? ATI Mobility FireGL V5200... it\'s a compaq nw8440 portable. IIRC, it was working fine before.... until I begun to change settings with the Show Graphics button in Boinc Manager. Regards, Leo |

It is TEMPERATURE by default and use defaults=NO Regards, Leo

Did you get any updates in through Windows Update lately, that may have broken things? Can you still run any other OpenGL programs (games, benchmarks)? Jord. |

I thought that everybody saw the graphics that way since 5.15 ? I certainly do, and there are a number of threads in this forum about that. No problem, anyway... |

There was a change a while back (to add the stats for various projects to user\'s accounts), which I seem to remember messed up the default settings of the graphics in lots of/everyone\'s, account page. I fixed mine by going to the graphics settings and changing them so that they were the same as for the BBC graphics, which hadn\'t been altered. The\'ve been OK ever since. |

My bbc settings are: use defaults -> yes Scene: Cloud Globe projection -> 3d Rotation -> Normal Save camera on exit -> Yes I don\'t actually display the graphics or use the screensaver myself because they take up CPU time.
