Does the earth in the model get solar radiation from all sides at once, or does it get solar radiation based on where the sun is in the sky at any given moment? The reason that I ask this is that in mid summer the outback of Australia seems to freeze over at 03:00. This is possible if this is 03:00 local time as deserts do tend to get cold at night, but highly unlikely if this is 03:00 UTC and about noon local time. jm7 |

I noticed also similar behavior in the Sahara ... A superb below -10/-20 C at noon September 26, 1811 rising to 20/30 C at 18:00. Strange behaviors seems to appear randomly but tend to correct by itself. |
