Are the users going to be able to choose a personal password any time soon? It\'s kind of a pain to have to refer back to the activation email every time I want to access my account. Thanks, Warren |

It's not necessary to enter your password each time... Set your browser to accept cookies from this site. And if you have an automatic cookie scrubber, make sure to add this cookie as an exception or it will get wiped regularly. |

Unfortunately even if I do check the box to identify climateprediction.net it still does not work. I still have to refer back to the email. That is why I would like to be able to pick my own password. |

You can always get the password by reading the account_*.xml file for the project in the BOINC directory. |

The easy way out, if it's an option, is to install another browser, like Mozilla Firefox. You never know, you might get to prefer it. 2. The proper thing is to fix the browser, but it could be frustrating. If you are using IE, and it's not one I'm very familiar with, I suggest trying a reset to default of the security settings, and then reselecting after a restart, including allowing cookies. You will probably find that if this site does not work properly you will have trouble on others as well. |

it could be your security settings, i.e. you may need to put www.climateprediction.net and climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk into a "Trusted Zone" for IE, in addition to "Accepting Cookies" |

I added climateprediction to my trusted sites. I also found that if I don't log out I can re-enter my account without having to use my password, but if I do log out I have to use my password, even with climateprediction added to my trusted sites. Again thank you all for your help. Warren |

Thank your for your suggestion. I also had this problem with Firefox as well. Carl's suggestion seems to work in conjunction with me not logging out of my account. Thank you, Warren |
