Running BOINC on a MacBook Intel that was recently upgraded to 10.5. I get the following message when I try to shut down the computer: \"Logout has timed out. The application hadcm3trans_5.39_i686-apple-darwin failed to quit and is not responding. If you wish to continue the logout by force quitting the application, choose Continue.\" This has hapenned twice that I noticed and both times it has been after the computer has been idle for a period of time - an hour or more - during which time the BOINC client has run. Any solutions? Thanks in advance. patrick |

It\'s highly recommended that people Exit from BOINC before attempting to shut down their computer. Otherwise the many files that the climate program has open may not have enough time to be closed, and some will be in an unknown state. Which will prevent the model from restarting at a later time.
