Hello everyone. By accident I found out today that I cannot manually scan a file with my AV. Boinc will not lower it\'s processor usage to allow my AV to run. So I tried scanning my comp, same result. Task Manager verifies all this. I have no problems using any other application including high end games. I\'m wondering if my AV Realtime Protection is working? Yes I am using both processors (P4 3.2 HT enabled). I can schedule Boinc not to run for an hour window and do an scheduled scan or temp stop Boinc but wondering about realtime protection. Also, after the Fortran incident I reset, it downloaded properly, enabled 2 processors and everything works fine. But now in my account I see I have 3 comp showing (only own 1). The 2 WU\'s seen to be reporting to my original comp listing. Do I delete the other accounts? Also I expected a doubling of my daily average which has not been the case. Perhaps an account problem? Does anyone have any advice.

Thank You
Butch Roberts

Norton worked like advertised for me.....I am not running HT so may be there is a problem on HT enabled boxes and AV programs.....
You need to merge the 2 bogus ones into the newest one listed...

>I got the accounts merged, thank you. My AV works, it just doesn't work with Boinc 4.5 running using both processors. The symantec window appears, it shows it's scanning, but 5min later it's still scanning my boot sector. I have a total of 560 gig of HDD space and can usually do my whole comp in 20 min. One of the knocks against symantec it's a resource hog. Usually task manager shows it's using upwards to 45 percent of processor.:(
