Is there anywhere to change the settings for the screen saver. I'd like to be able to look at the entire globe and not just the Africa/Euopean portion of it! I know that this kind of editing is available for the SETI BOINC one which is partly why I ask. |

Hi, we don't have web prefs interaction with the screensaver yet. In our rush to get things done and working I'm afraid we haven't documented the visualisation too much, but you can "click and drag" to move the globe around and see the rest of the world! Hold the "CTRL" key down to zoom in and out also. |

Any suggestions? |

To access the graphics commands you need to open the graphics from the BOINC window. Go to the work tab, and right click on CPDN. Select graphics. Pressing H on the keyboard will bring up a list of keyboard commands. Also see here for more help. Some settings will be 'remembered' when your computer enters screensaver mode. By the way, if you don't use the screensaver you save quite a lot of processing power for calculations on the model, so use it only if you do enjoy looking at it! |

Hi. When I right click on Climateprediction.net under the Work tab I get "show graphics" and have not been able to go further to access the viewpoint controls. Any pointers? > > This sounds like a good idea but I seem to be missing how I can "Click > and > > Drag" since every time I try to click or move the cursor the screen > saver > > shuts off. When you click on 'show graphics' a window should open showing a globe with some words and numbers underneath. The viewpoint controls should then operate when the window is active - click on the top bar of the window to bring it to the front. If you can't bring up the graphics window it could be a problem with the drivers for the graphics card, or there are other possibilities. |
