I am now running Climateprediction with a intel core 2 quad, but i can only use 2 cores, the other 2 are just idled. I have set BOINC to use 100% CPU but the result is still the same. The there any way to let me boost my CPU usage? |

The first thing to check is the BOINC preferences for the machine\'s location (i.e. \'work\', \'home\' or \'school\'): here. The item \"On multiprocessors, use at most\" should have at least four processors allowed. Then check whether the preference has been overridden locally in BOINC Manager. Have a look at \'Advanced | Preferences | processor usage\' in BOINC Manager. According to the CPDN Web site (here), BOINC knows about all four cores, so the operating system must know too. |
