Hi, I\'ve been trying to run multiple projects at the same time, proteins@home, climateprediction.net, lhathome , QMC@home, spinhenger@home . I\'ve set them to share the resources in the account options of each project (i\'ve set them all to 50% share but could to 25%). However i\'m only ever having one project run at one time. Is this the way they share? one has 3 hours and then stops then another has 3 hours and so on? thanks orfeo |

Is this the way they share? Yes. Your computer only has one processor, so it can only run one work unit/model at a time. (One of ANY task at a time, including what else you use it for.) If your processor is one that has hyperthreading, then you can set it for 2 procesors in the preferences on your account page. However, hyperthreading only uses a virtual processor for the \'other\' processor, so you will only get a bit more processing power, not double. It has to share a lot of the cpu\'s internal resources with the physical processor. Backups: Here |

Hi Orfeo Your CPDN account page should list at the bottom all the other projects you\'ve attached to. You may need to edit your account on one or more projects to give them all the same email address. That\'s how the servers recognise us, not by our username. Cpdn news |
