I dont know either but do you think I could uninstall it then restall it again. If I can do that you may have to tell me how. |

There is a possibility that your telephone company changed something, so re-installing BOINC wouldn\'t help in that case. But you would do this the same way that you did it the first time. Try turning off both the computer AND the modem, turn them both back on, and try another Update. |

Sometimes it will say something about a proxy configuration. and something else about a host. So should I just wait a while and see what happens or should I just stop trying all together. But I do not know how to uninstall something from my computer. I am very new at it. |

The messages will be the same as before, making suggestions about fixing your lack of connection from BOINC to the internet. Most people don\'t use a proxy server at home. You could try clicking the Reset project button in the Projects tab, which will remove the existing models and programs, and then download a new copy of each, but I don\'t think this will work because of the lack of communications. Do you know the name of your telephone company or ISP? Is it AOL? |
