Hi there, I am trying to free up some space on my machine (running Windows XP). Below the following folder C:\\Program Files\\BOINC\\projects\\climateprediction.net\\ there are 5 folders; 2 with names hadcm3istd_*, 2 with hadcm3lbm_*, and 1 with name hadsm3fub_julf_005957782. The first 4 are all between 400-500MB. Looking at the BOINC Manager messages tab, I see the following message: 2008.Jul.30 9:35:46 AM|climateprediction.net|Restarting task hadsm3fub_julf_005957782_9 using hadsm3 version 506 Assuming this corresponds to the last folder mentioned, I am guessing I can\'t touch that. Are those first 4 folders active? Can I delete them? Can I be sure their data been uploaded to ClimatePrediction before I delete them? Thanks in advance, David |

Yes the names do correspond to climate models. Check the \"tasks\" tab of the manager, any of those folders that does not have an active task listed should be ready to delete. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

Hi WaveyMaple I like your Canadian name! I\'ve had a look at the models you\'ve had on the Intel Pentium with XP. Here they are: http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/results.php?hostid=449148 Several have crashed out with a -107 error and one with -161. Click on the + beside stderrout on the models\' web pages to see more details. -107 tends to be a graphics-related error; this computer may need a graphics software update which is free from the web. For advice on avoiding these errors in future go through the link in my signature to the CPDN READMEs. In the collection about crashes and problems look at link #6 by MikeMars and #7 by Thyme Lawn. Hope that\'s useful. Cpdn news |
