HI, New user here and I was wondering if there were any other users in my neck of the woods - ie, in New Wilmington, PA, USA. Regards, Jackie

Hi Jackie, welcome to the project and the forum - seems to be a bit quiet around here at the moment, but I hope you will eventually find some fellow-crunchers in your neck of the woods! Meantime, happy crunching ;-)

Hi Jackie!!

Apparently I\'m the closest so far. I\'m from Akron Ohio area. Climate people don\'t seem to talk much, but I\'m a reject from SETI, where you can find numerous people from Pennsylvania.

Hi DF

AFAIK the only \'members\' who\'ve ever been rejected from the CPDN project were spammers ie spam profiles but no crunching computers. On CPDN I don\'t think we\'ve ever needed to ban a crunching member even temporarily.

Well. That\'s good, \'cause I\'d like to stick around a bit.

Hope you find a neighbor! Anything\'s possible. Last week I was 300 miles from home and accidentally ran into some one who\'s a relative of mine apparently. I\'ve got her email & we\'re going to find out how close a relative she is. She recognized my mom & dad.

Weird.... very weird.

In the forum News thread at the top of the Number Crunching section there\'s a post from March with a link to Raven\'s posts about how members can get themselves added to his Google Earth map of BOINC crunchers. Raven\'s thread\'s here in the Cafe. He pops in from time to time to pick up new requests. I\'m on his map. You can see who lives close to you.

Hi, Jackie. I’m Jim. I live on Long Island, N.Y. That’s not to far away. Hope that you are enjoying the project. Just one piece of advise from someone who has been doing this for awhile. The road to successfully completing the models, especially the CMs is backup, backups, backups. Happy crunching.
