Hi, Was wondering if anyone else was having this issue. I have about 11 machines running the models and all have stopped updating. Here is what is in the log. This set of messages just keeps repeating sending scheduler request: To send trickle-up message,Requesting 0 secondes of work, reporting 0 completed tasks Scheduler request succeeded: got 0 new tasks All of my computers cycle through these messages. They are all still showing running. Also see the following 1X per day since the trickle has stopped. scheduler request failed: HTTP internal server error Just want to make sure data I am processing is getting submitted to assist with the overall project. Thanks Robert |

Those messages look like pretty standard trickle messages. Your log should be full of them as the models run to completion. Slab models (HADSM3) sometimes submit large numbers of trickle messages at phase changes, which is the only time you\'ll actually see the messages appearing on screen one after the other. The \'HTTP internal server error\' message does appear from time to time, and just means that something is wrong at the server end. Usually, the server is just a bit busy and BOINC Manager will re-submit the trickle message after a delay. As a separate matter, some of the Web site pages are slow to update at the moment - credits haven\'t been allocated etc. - but will catch up eventually. They always do. |

I just wanted to make sure the data that was being processed was being sent so it could be analyzed. |

If there are real problems with the servers, eg an upload server out of action, we try to post about it in the News thread at the top of the Number Crunching section. (That\'s a lot of computers!) Cpdn news |

I don\'t think it is a serious problem. I had the same sort of message yesterday. 18/09/2008 11:50:00||Access to reference site succeeded - project servers may be temporarily down. 18/09/2008 11:50:51|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request: To send trickle-up message. What I usually do in such cases/ Suspend network activity in BOINC manager. Pull the power plug on the router. Put it in again. Wait a while. Just a guess: either the box needs the occasional reset, or the line is down somewhere. If the servers are down, you can see that on this page. As an aside: I was previewing the message and didn\'t see the BBcode or my signature. I\'ll try to track that down. Forum search Site search |
