No. Some distrubuted computing projects have relatively simple calculations to be repeated a huge number of times. It\'s sometimes possible for knowledgable programmers to produce a version that produces the expected results a bit more quickly. CPDN isn\'t like that: the source code for each of the applications is huge and written in FORTRAN. Moreover, though it can be licensed, it isn\'t in the public domain. I\'ve found that applications perform differently on different machines. So a bit of benchmarking may get you some advantage. But there aren\'t going to be third-party versions of any of the CPDN applications. |

It\'s best to do as you have, Nevica, and only have one or two HADAMs on a quad, letting them run alongside other types of model. The HADAMs are the heaviest models on memory use, so 3 or 4 of them could slow each other down. Cpdn news |
