A few months back I had a HADCM model that crashed, and was part way through the next model when I posted this: http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=6431 Well the good news is I finished the HADCM after using the backups twice, but when I tried to get the HADAM going again it seems to have detached itself. Did I do something wrong? Can I re-attach? I\'ll wait for an answer before I start my next download. Thanks. The \'client detached\' message is an indication by the server that it knows that messages from BOINC on your PC have arrived out of sequence (i.e. a lower-numbered message from a restored backup has arrived after a later-numbered message). It\'s purely cosmetic. The page on the Web site won\'t always show the up-to-date-state of the model, but the results will be accepted and credits awarded. Keep going with the HADAM3, if it\'s still there. The messages give the impression that it\'s crashed ... |

If it keeps crashing each time the backup is restored, then you could try an older backup. However, the model didn\'t get very far, so it might make sense to abandon it. |

Thanks, I replied at the same time you edited your post. I\'ll think I\'ll give up and \"allow new tasks\". Start a fresh :) Cheers |
