I paused then exited my climate model as I always do before rebooting my computer. This had always worked. This morning, however, I found that, although the icon did disappear from the tray, the model is still running. Without the icon, I don't know how to safely shut the program down before rebooting the computer. Any suggestions, or reasons why this happened? Thanks. |

Suggest that you restart the Boinc Manager. Assuming you are using WinXP: Start > All Programs > Boinc > Boinc Manager. Then pause BM and exit as you normally do. That has worked for me. Occassionally I have seen the BM icon disappear but CPDN processes are is still running, or find that two BM icons are in the tray after stopping/restarting. No good idea why yours did not stop CPDN this time, so your guess is as good as any. HTH |

I don't know why I didn't think to look for access to the Manager from All Programs. Got it now though. Thanks again! |
