I have had no problems up until this one.

Running Hadsm3 Models on Q6600 under Ubuntu 8.04 x64.

The trickles have gone up OK, but now that the WU is finished it has been trying for days to upload..
screenshot from messages tab:

any ideas?

this is the first problem I have had, after having done dozens and dozens of models.

* Have just found mo.v 's post on the phpBB forum abou tthe servers being down due to no disk space left.

Their advice is to suspend any nearly-finished models until the problem is cleared.

sorry for wasting forum space !!

No problem, Veebee. I'm now going to copy more of the server problem News posts to this forum while it can be accessed (top of Number Crunching) and the boinc_dev all-project forum server outages thread.

hmmm.. still no luck in having this completed model upload its last zip file.

this is the first time this has happened, and I AM worried that its gonna end up a waste of 140 odd hours of CPU time if it doesn;t get sent.

Any ideas out there as to how to get it uploading???

thanks in advance,

Veebee

What worries me, is that you don't seem to be following the News thread.
It says quite clearly there, that there are ongoing problems at Oxford.

Wow, I AM really sorry for worrying you Les.....

but being a single father of three teenagers, working 48 hours of shift work every 4 days and being doped out off pain killers for chronic pain from a spinal injury, makes it sorta hard to focus all my attention on "the News thread" about ongoing problems at Oxford.

For a dumb-ass fireman like me, a link TO that specific News thread from someone like yourself, would have probably been a more tactful response and saved you all that worry.

Again, sorry for causing you concern and I wont mention the topic again.

I didn't mean to be rude; it's just that lots of people keep posting about this.
And it was in the middle of the night; freezing here in Sydney.

It's possible to Subscribe to that thread. (Any one, for that matter). Top left of the posts.
Then you'll get an email notification when ever something is posted there that we think people need to know about.
BUT you need to make sure that you have email notification turned on in your Account page.

PS
There's also a copy of the News thread on our alternate, independent board here, for when this board is down for the credit update. About 9am to midday here at present.

Hi again Veebee

At the moment we just can't upload model files until Milo's bought and installed a new disk with lots of space. The best idea for the time being is to keep BOINC network activity suspended as much as possible to stop BOINC attempting the impossible.
