Hi.
I just started crunching data on BOINC projects, and a problem arose with the Climate Prediction Model. I am using Boinc Manager 6.4.7 and BoincStats Bam!

I am currently working on a HadSM3 Slab 6.07 model. In the Graphical mode, as well as in \"Tasks\", it shows a 2,824% done or about 2 model years. The problem is that in the \"Projects\" tab, as well as on my account on the site, there are no credits awarded. I tried to find an answer, but no one could help me.

I have to add that other models are working fine, and that a friend got a status update after about 1,5 % of work done on Climate Prediction.

Thanks in advance,
G.

Welcome to the Project, George.

Credits for Slab Models are awarded each time a \"Trickle\" is sent up. Trickles are sent after each 10,802 Time Steps.

You can check the current Time Step by clicking \"Show Graphics\" in Tasks Tab. (I\'m using boinc terminology, as I\'m not familiar with Bam.)

When the Model reaches 33.33%, 66.67%, and 100%, it will enter extended periods of Phase post-processing. If interrupted by shutdown or other interruption, the Model will crash and start over. Consequently, it is recommended that CPDN folders be excluded from Virus Scans.

Best of luck.

Also, the trickles-to-credits program only runs once per day.

Thenk you very much about the insights. Can I \'suspend\' the model when it reaches 33, 66 and 100 or I have to leave the computer open in these periods?
Also, is Hibernation OK for this? (I read that in most cases it\'s fine, but I wanted to know about this model.)

Thanks, I think this was it. Because I had tricklets (I checked the timesteps), but none were reported to the site, even when I tried to manually \"update\" the status of the project.

When your model reaches the end of a phase at 33, 66 and 99+% it will start post-processing the completed phase. These models don\'t like to be interrupted during post-processing. They hate it and can crash or go back to the start.

It\'s safest after the post-processing to let the model complete at least one more checkpoint (= another countdown to zero then to 143 or less) before suspending the model or stopping Boinc or hibernating or shutting down the computer.

If you can\'t see the countdown to checkpoint in your model graphics window, while looking at the globe press Z then 8 on the keyboard.
